SEÑORIO DE NAVA

Joven 2012

13.5% Vol

Region: Ribera Del Duero

Varieties: Tempranillo

Notes: This is a wine I just take a sip of and fall in love and the reason for it is that for a young wine (no oaking) it has so much structure and balance that you would normally associate with a Roble or Crianza. It is one of the best young Ribera wines I have tried since I started drinking spanish wine. I would love to try their Roble and Crianza but you are stepping up in price with the Crianza but the Roble is only an extra 2 euros. The wine has great level of smoothness with a wonderful violet cherry colour. Taste of dark raspberry and blackberry with nice level chocolate running though it, it’s a medium weighted wine with great young fruit. It has a very clean finish and has good strong concentration but with a nice freshness to it. Have this with your favourite meal you can’t go wrong, or bring it out to impress guests and not have paid a fortune!

  1. We (www.actuel-realisation) import those wines in Québec Canada, the Joven 2012, the roble 2011 and the crianza 2009. You are right, the roble and the crianza are also stunning. SdN Crianza 2009’s nose behaves like the greatest Burgundy, where the flavors constantly change and renew the pleasures with the aeration. And since tempranillo ages so well, the pleasure will last a long time! Cheers.
