Notes: Emilio Moro is one of the premium wineries in the area, with 3 generations of family wine making and they have firm belief in sustainable wine making. The vineyards are located almost 1000 metres above sea level, which they believe helps create the wine distinct flavours and personality, but for me it is the classic but modern style of wine making happening in the world wide recognition of Ribera del Duero dramaticaly become one of the greatest wine areas of the world. This is the youngest wine they make coming from 5 – 15 year old vines and 4 months in 100% French oak Barrels which blends well in the wine, not overshadowing the rich fruit content. This vintage due to good weather was allowed to harvest at a longer than normal time allowing the best harvesting time resulting in a wine with great concentration. It was a slight rainy and chilly day when I tried this and suited the conditions, with its comforting warm hearty structure you expect from wines in this part of the world. The light toasting notes with a slightly peppery finish, aromatic of high level cherry/raspberry fruit with good long persistent finish in the mouth without being too heavy (mild sweet tannins). Best enjoyed with varity of clean food and good wine lovers!

Notas: Emilio Moro es una de las bodegas de primera calidad en la zona, con 3 generaciones de la familia trabajando en ello y la creencia firme que tienen en la elaboración del vino sostenible. Los viñedos se encuentran a casi 1.000 metros sobre el nivel del mar, lo que se cree que ayuda al vino a crear sabores distintos y con mas personalidad, pero para mí es el estilo clásico pero moderno a la vez de la elaboración del vino lo que se traduce en el reconocimiento mundial de Ribera del Duero y que la convierten en una de las mejores zonas vitivinícolas del mundo. Este es el vino más joven que hacen procedente de viñas de 5-15 años de edad y 4 meses en barricas 100 % roble francés que combinan bien con el vino, sin tapar el rico contenido de frutas. Esta cosecha debido al buen tiempo maduro más de lo habitual lo que permitió recogerlo en el mejor momento de la cosecha produciendo un vino de gran concentración. Era un día lluvioso y frío cuando lo probé, lo que le fue perfecto al vino, con su reconfortante y abundante estructura que esperas de los vinos en esta parte del mundo. Las ligeras notas tostadas con un final ligeramente picante, alto nivel aromático de fruta de cereza / frambuesa con buena persistencia final en la boca, sin ser demasiado pesado (taninos dulces y suaves). Mejor disfrutado con buena comida y amantes del vino!
